Cervalis Announces Work Area Recovery Solutions

Shelton, Conn. (PRWEB) June 24, 2014

Cervalis, a premier and trusted provider of technology and IT services, today announced the availability of 600 dedicated work seats at its newest, and Connecticuts largest, data center. The work area recovery space is for use as a backup location in the event a weather-related or other disaster hits the region. Dedicated work seats are also available at Cervalis other high- availability data centers in Stamford, Conn., Totowa, New Jersey, and Wappingers Falls, New York.

With hurricane season here until November, businesses are busy reviewing their disaster recovery and business continuity plans and taking steps to prevent downtime. Many companies dont anticipate the negative impact power outages, natural disasters and other such incidents can have on their business and reputation, said Michael Boccardi, president and CEO of Cervalis.

Work area recovery is an integral part of intelligent business continuity planning. It allows employees to conduct business as usual under adverse conditions in a comfortable and secure environment that is supported by a reliable data center. These dedicated seats enable companies to remain online, maintain critical operations, preserve employee morale, and to keep customers satisfied during unplanned disruptive events.

Many businesses in the New York Metro area have faced significant interruptions as a result of inclement weather and natural disasters in recent years, Boccardi said. Having work area recovery seats at a data center is, essentially, an insurance policy against downtime.

During Superstorm Sandy, Cervalis maintained 100 percent uptime and supported thousands of clients through its data centers. The premier technology and IT services provider even hosted a global trading firm, through which billions of dollars in transactions flow, during and after the storm. (Case Study Here)

GSA Approves and Enables Smartsheet for Online Work Collaboration and Project Management

Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) June 24, 2014

Smartsheet, the collaborative work management tool used by more than 45,000 paying organizations and millions of users worldwide, today announced that the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has selected Smartsheet as its online collaborative project management tool, and that it is now available for all GSA employees.

Smartsheet is currently in use by teams at federal agencies including NASA, Library of Congress, National Institutes of Health, National Parks Service, and US Department of Veterans Affairs. Additionally, state government organizations, such as the State of Maryland, also use the spreadsheet-inspired tool to coordinate a wide variety of work processes and projects including election logistics, constituent programs, IT projects, wetland research, and grant management.

GSA, which is leading the federal governments charge to the cloud, adopted a Google-based email and calendar system in mid-2011. Now, theyre further extending their ecosystem with the Smartsheet deployment. The unique combination of the easy-to-use spreadsheet interface, file sharing, powerful project management capabilities, such as Gantt charts and automated workflows, plus the seamless integration with Google, were all key factors in its decision to select Smartsheet.

After seeing employees quickly adopt and embrace Smartsheet and the successful completion of a rigorous security review process, the GSA made the decision to bypass traditional project management software, such as Microsoft Project and other web-based apps, in favor of deploying Smartsheet across the entire organization. GSA now links its program management schedules and Gantt chart timelines in Smartsheet with Google tools, such as calendars, Gmail, and the Google Drive document system.

Secure, cloud-based business apps like Smartsheet are growing in popularity with government agencies as the organizations struggle with increasing pressure to lower operational and capital IT expenses. According to the The InformationWeek Governments 2013 Federal Government Cloud Computing Survey, a majority of

Cervalis Adds Work Area Recovery Seats in Passaic County, New Jersey to Fulfill Expanding Demand

Shelton, CT (PRWEB) June 20, 2013

Due to ongoing high demand and to address customer requests, Cervalis is adding additional office space for Business Continuity Workspace Recovery. Cervalis will make available over 600 work recovery seats in a new building in Passaic County, New Jersey, in close proximity to their current facility in the area.

Data Center work recovery seats or work area recovery site is a location where an organization can easily relocate following a disaster, such as fire, flood, terrorist threat or other disruptive event. More and more data center customers are looking to create an alternate working environment in case their primary offices are unavailable during emergency situations. This is especially true following recent emergency events such as Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Irene. When a disaster occurs, customers can move their staff to the alternate office location and resume business operations, an integral part of the disaster recovery plan and wider business continuity planning of an organization.

Demand has been strong and has dramatically increased since Sandy, said Zack Margolis, VP of Sales and Marketing at Cervalis, one of the East Coasts premier data center and business continuity services providers. During Sandy, many clients took advantage of their alternate workspace environments in the Cervalis facilities, which enabled them to continue normal business operations even under the harshest weather conditions.

Having an alternate facility to enable your workforce to regain access to information and maintain productivity in the event of an unplanned interruption is important to companies that cannot afford to stop service or support to their clients and business associates. Having an alternate workspace environment customized to meet the specific needs of the customer is the choice of all companies that require ongoing and continued business operations.

Netpremacy Global Services Marketing Team Work Remotely in Australia Thanks to Google Apps for Business

UK – (PRWEB UK) 11 June 2012

London: The Netpremacy marketing team will work from Australia for three months this summer with the power of Google Apps for Business. The team has an objective of exploring the Australian market for further internationalisation to expand Netpremacys global presence to five countries, covering four continents.

A spokesperson from marketing at AppsCare (Netpremacys Google Enterprise brand) recently said Without the use of a cloud infrastructure our company would be more restricted to providing for a much smaller market size. Google Apps facilitates access to our clients, irrelevant of the physical distance, whilst still working seamlessly with other employees still in the office. Remote working in Australia will enable us to undertake new market primary research internally, saving us costs on outsourcing the research to a market research company which would have been the case without Google Apps.

From large distributed teams, to the individual employee Google Apps facilitates seamless collaboration across continents. While there are a variety of tools available to allow remote access to company resources, few enable real-time productivity anytime, anywhere across any device.

Google Apps breaks down barriers of distance, time, hardware and software to maximise productivity, regardless of employees locations or means of accessing company resources. Google Apps enables businesses to securely access cloud applications, delivered via Googles global infrastructure across multiple computers and devices. Traditional, in-house software on the other hand, often traps company information behind corporate firewalls.

New Study Finds Online Collaboration Tools Reduce Administrative Work for Physical Therapists and Other Medical Providers

Tucson, Arizona (PRWEB) June 04, 2013

A new case study by online collaboration provider BizAnytime demonstrates the value of a comprehensive communications suite in improving communications and efficiencies for physical therapy offices. The case study outlines the benefits of incorporating BizAnytime’s exclusive array of communication and collaboration tools in the clinical setting. By creating a shared online environment for practices that includes workspaces, file sharing and instant chat capability, BizAnytime was able to provide new avenues for rapid communication and cooperation in this fast-paced working environment. The entire case study can be viewed online at http://www.bizanytime.com/desert-palms-physical-therapy.

Desert Palms Physical Therapy provides active and passive treatments to help patients recover from a wide range of injuries and conditions. Because therapists spend the bulk of their time working directly with patients, it was critical to find new and innovative ways to increase communication among staff members and patients to promote healing, reduce duplicated effort and enhance efficiency throughout the facility. To complicate matters further, the center partners with and refers patients to a second office location, introducing additional communication challenges. The end result of these complexities was a breakdown in communication among staff members and a failure to respond immediately to patient inquiries and concerns within the clinical environment.

The founder of Desert Palms Physical Therapy, Bruce A. Franke, Jr., PT, MSc., OCS, MTC and FAAOMPT had read about BizAnytime and its exclusive portfolio of cloud-based collaboration and communications tools. Franke contacted BizAnytime to arrange for a free trial for his clinic. By setting up workspaces for each of his therapists, Franke was able to provide a greater degree of organization and to facilitate communication between therapists within the clinic. Instant chat functions ensured that workloads could be distributed and managed more efficiently in the working environment.

Since implementing BizAnytime weve seen the time the staff spends on sending communications and questions between offices decrease by at least 30 percent said Franke.

The successful implementation described in the case study is not an isolated case. BizAnytime helps virtually any type of small business achieve improved communications and increased collaboration to boost productivity in the workplace. Shared workspaces and advanced social media integration allow staff members to communicate quickly and effectively with each other and with clients through BizAnytime’s secure cloud interface. Priced at only $ 10/month, BizAnytime reduces overall office expenses..

About BizAnytime:
