NephoScale Cloud Hosting Announces Beta Availability of CloudPaaS Platform-as-a-Service Based On Cloud Foundry Version 2

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) September 09, 2013

NephoScale, a technology leader in public and private cloud hosting, is excited to announce the release of its CloudPaaS for developers. This new service provides automated staging and deployment of applications with a choice of developer frameworks and data services. The CloudPaaS platform gives developers the tools they need to easily move an app from their own server to the cloud with no code changes. Developers simply write their code and then with CloudPaaS they can test, deploy, and scale their applications in a production environment with no changes. There is no infrastructure to manage and no middleware code to develop or support. The result is an accelerated software delivery cycle and faster time-to-market.

With the addition of our new NephoScale CloudPaaS platform-as-a-service offering, we are able to provide customers an easy way to get started developing, testing, and deploying their apps, said Telemachus Luu, CTO of NephoScale. This new service allows us to accommodate strong customer demand for a low friction way to quickly deploy apps in the cloud, while also providing a seamless path to our NephOS IaaS cloud platform when customers need maximum visibility into the underlying infrastructure or want access to high performance on-demand bare metal servers, Luu adds.

DiscountASP.NET Adds Hostname Support to Snapp Systems Platform-as-a-Service

Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) July 02, 2013

DiscountASP.NET, a leader in Windows hosting, formally entered into cloud hosting services with the launch of Snapp Systems. Snapp is an elastic platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solution for .NET applications and the first PaaS to include a configurable staging and production environment for each application. Today, DiscountASP.NET announces adding hostname support to Snapp allowing developers to use their own domain names with Snapps production environment.

“We are working hard to continually enhance Snapp to make it a first class PaaS for .NET applications,” said Takeshi Eto, VP Marketing and Business Development at DiscountASP.NET. “We made adding domain name support to Snapp an early priority to help encourage developers to test Snapp using real world applications.”

The underlying technology for Snapp Systems is Windows Azure Pack (formerly Windows Azure Services for Windows Server and Microsoft codename Antares). With Windows Azure Pack, Microsoft is providing partners with the same technology that powers Azure Web Sites so that hosting providers can run Azure Services on-premises and provide differentiated cloud hosting solutions.

Snapp Systems supports deployment using FTP, WebDeploy, GIT and Team Foundation Server to a staging site where users can test their applications before it is set live. After successful testing, developers can publish their application from the staging environment to the live production site without redeployment.

Snapp Systems is scalable with the ability to add and remove web workers on-demand, and includes an easy rollback feature. Snapp also offers an exception management system to help developers debug and identify issues within their code.

Snapp is currently available as a free beta and developers can sign up for the beta at

Virtual Global’s New Platform-as-a-Service Gives Developers a Free Path to the Cloud

Morgantown, WV (PRWEB) November 08, 2012

Virtual Global, a cloud computing company that specializes in federal and commercial cloud strategies and software development, has announced the release of SaaS Maker a platform-as-a-service for building, deploying, and selling subscription-based software on the cloud. The application features, among other highlights, a wizard for the convenient building of functionalities and a software development kit that makes it possible to better integrate with legacy software systems.

In developing SaaS Maker, Virtual Global has addressed the large and growing market for custom software on the cloud, and has acknowledged and served the need on the part of developers to find ways to migrate and modernize their legacy software applications without being locked into proprietary infrastructure providers. Furthermore, SaaS Maker functions in providing a new way for developers to build and sell true subscription-based software-as-a-service applications on the cloud.

“We tend to forget the cloud movement is largely about the mass adoption of software-as-a-service over the next few years and, yes, infrastructure services save moneybut the real value is realized when cloud adoption moves ‘up the stack’ into software services,” said Cary Landis, President of Virtual Global. “The framework of our new SaaS Maker product has a proven, decade-long acumen in federal, commercial, and academic installations both nationally and internationally and we’re confident that it’s ready for primetime. Saas Maker uses point-and-click tools, it lets developers quickly add functionalities such as user subscriptions, data-entry forms, role-based access security, workflow management, team collaboration, and business intelligence reports and it allows developers to publish their apps for sale on the cloud.”

The new software development kit in SaaS Maker lets developers create feature-rich programs that integrate with other web services, such as big data and geospatial services. It is portable across data centers, so that developers can implement secure solutions on their own private cloud, and it is equally suited for multiple types of developers including large enterprise companies moving mission-critical systems to the cloud.

According to Landis, software companies can leverage the platform architecture to cut their time-to-market, risks and costs by more than half. SaaS Maker also lowers the cost of getting started, because developers don’t need to invest up-front into expensive development tools and servers. With SaaS Maker, developers can literally sign up for free and immediately start building enterprise systems that scale to millions of users.

Retailers and Restaurateurs Utilize Red e App, a Platform-As-A-Service Model, for Notifications and Real-Time Communications with Customers and Patrons

Louisville, KY (PRWEB) March 30, 2012

Red e App, a new mobile application platform, announces its roster of beta customers, demonstrating how customer engagement is evolving for multi-channel communications that drive diverse sales models. Key first clients include: Fleet Feet Sports Louisville, Leadership Louisville, Fat Jimmys Pizza, Grays College Bookstore, Quills and Comfy Cow Handcrafted Ice Cream and Desserts. Additionally, Red e App is working with large health care systems and key academic institutions in building efficient mobile communications that benefit and enhance the engagement between all parties.

LIBA, Louisvilles Independent Business Alliance, assists its member businesses in group branding and marketing to promote their value to the local community through their Buy Local First campaign. Jennifer Rubenstein, LIBA Director, says, Red e App could be a great tool for our local members to immediately have a mobile presence and voice in a cost effective manner – and at the same time, provide local consumers easy access to all of their favorite brands. They are an independent, Louisville company – were glad to support them!

AMIBA, The American Independent Business Alliance, has included Red e App with a speaker opportunity and sponsorship of their national convention this week in Louisville, Kentucky. Jonathan Erwin, founder of Red e App, will be speaking today at 2:55 PM ET at The Galt House in the Coe room. The AMIBA conference gathers business alliance leaders, visionary business leaders, and government and economic development officials to share programs benefiting local independent businesses because the concept makes sense. AMIBA, which brands “buy independent, buy local” campaigns, helps communities build economic vitality through maintaining local independent businesses and keep economic and political power rooted in the community. We believe that our beta customers are good examples of what will sweep the country in mobile social engagement in 2012. PaaS, platform-as-a-service, greatly reduces the cost of entry for all retailers, and other vertical players in moving into the mobile generation, said Jonathan Erwin, CEO of Red e App.

Statistics prove out that a mobile application can jack up upscale restaurant reservation scheduling by up to 10x, from 5-8 per week to 5-10 per day, according to iSchedule, which is the next mecca for Red e App. We are seeing interest from high-end chains, and other operators that have multi-locations and sitdown dining, Erwin said.

US consumers prefer mobile access for banking, travel, shopping, local info, news, video, sports and blogs and, in 2011, with a preference for apps that tied to games, social media, maps and music, according to mobiThinking statistics. Their research shows that mobile searches have quadrupled in the last year; for many items one in seven searches are now mobile.

Retailers, restaurateurs, and other Red e App clients are delivering all kinds of data that engages their clients and constituents on mobile devices, including events, new pricing, location announcements, seasonal items or other changes, reminders, and rewards, plus key links for maps, services and goods, and hours of operations. Mobile applications can also be used for delivery of specialty audience information for sales teams, employee groups, job recruitment, and student alerts, for example.

Fleet Feet Sports Louisville owner, Jeff Wells, said, We are pleased that we can now communicate whenever and wherever our customers go. Weve got the best foot solutions for getting our customers active and we are proactive in working with them at every level of fitness. With Red e App, we can now communicate to our loyal customers, training groups and class participants in real time. This allows us to better fulfill our mission to celebrate, with passion, the healthy lifestyle of our customers.”

Red e App enables merchants and brands to capitalize on mobile, social and local marketing. It also allows the sharing of interests, and other conversations, amongst participants, and each user chooses the organizations and retailers it wishes to receive information from, affording privacy. Segmentation for specialty groups is possible, so that not all Red e App users have access to all groups that have notifications and communication channels. The system sends only data relevant to the Red e App subscribed customers.

Businesses interested in having a mobile app presence in under a half an hour can sign-up for Red e App at RedeApp is currently available for free consumer download on the iPhone and Android. Stay tuned to the Red e Blog and Facebook page for product announcements.
