NetHosting Streamlines Guest Posting Process for Bloggers with Launch of FreeGuestPost.com

Orem, UT (PRWEB) August 28, 2013

FreeGuestPost, a division of NetHosting, has launched their website, http://www.FreeGuestPost.com. The website is designed to streamline the process of writing and publishing guest blog posts in order to aid with SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

For bloggers and publishers, guest posting is an important strategy in SEO. It allows the guest poster to create backlinks, while the publisher benefits from fresh content. However, many bloggers find that this relationship is a difficult one to establish: both writers and publishers lack the time and effort necessary to seek out other bloggers to help in their guest post strategy.

FreeGuestPost has answered the demand for an effective and easy source for guest posters and publishers. The website has a separate portal for both writers and publishers. Publishers can request blog posts written on a chosen topic with their specifications, and writers can fulfill that request. Reciprocally, writers are invited to submit articles for publishers to look through and choose for their blog. Communications between writer and publisher remains on FreeGuestPost, instead of getting lost through email or a third-party website.

The main feature of FreeGuestPost is the WordPress plugin. For WordPress users, downloading the plugin simplifies the process. The directory of articles to choose from or request is accessible from within the WordPress dashboard. The publication process is easy and simple.

Our goal was to help connect writers and blog owners in a way that has never been done effectively before, says FreeGuestPost founder Adam Sorensen. Others have tried to do this, but the process was complicated and flawed. Hopefully this will make SEO easier for many bloggers.

We are excited for this new opportunity, commented NetHosting CEO Lane Livingston. FreeGuestPost.com is already off to a great start. We anticipate that, one day, bloggers will wonder how they ever lived without this tool.

FreeGuestPost.com was launched on August 22, 2013, and is still in Beta mode. Writers and publishers can create an account at FreeGuestPost.com.

New NetHosting Case Study Investigates Online Movie and TV Database IMDb

Orem, UT (PRWEB) June 24, 2013

NetHosting, a leading provider of cloud hosting, dedicated hosting, and virtual hosting has published a case study on the Internets number one movie and TV database, IMDb.

IMDb, founded in 1990 by Col Needham, has over 160 million unique visitors each month, and is the number one database for accessing movie and TV information online. As a site where users can access detailed information about media, including production credits, dates, and links to actors, IMDb is relevant in the visual community.

While IMDb’s initial focus was to provide information on shows and movies, it has expanded to include online streaming options for movies and TV shows, and its partnering with Amazon has made even more media available through Amazon Instant. In addition, IMDb hosts movie trailers, stills, and behind-the-scenes images to provide users a rich experience of varied information.

“IMDbs utility is vast in this expanding visual culture, and their connection with Amazon makes them even more prolific,” says NetHosting CEO Lane Livingston. “More than a simple database of plot summaries and casts, IMDb provides vast amounts of information for users and gives them the opportunity to contribute through message boards and comments. We all like to talk about TV and movie culture, and IMDb creates a knowledgeable place to do that.”

In addition to its IMDb case study, NetHosting has also inspected other online streaming sites such as Netflix and Hulu.

New NetHosting Case Study Looks at Online Local Marketplace LivingSocial

Orem, UT (PRWEB) May 13, 2013

NetHosting, a leading provider of dedicated, cloud, and virtual hosting has published a case study on the growing deal and coupon provider LivingSocial, investigating its system specifications and business model.

NetHosting reports on LivingSocials history, expanding from its early days as Hungry Machine in 2007, to developing Visual Bookshelf and Pick Your Five, to securing $ 175 million of funding from Amazon and a total investment sum of over $ 600 million. LivingSocial is dedicated to providing users with local deals as well as helping local businesses to get the exposure they need to grow.

Using LivingSocial can provide local companies with valuable local business, 87% of restaurant merchant customers said they would return to the restaurant after redeeming their deal, 91% of deal redeemers have already done business with the merchant again or plan on doing so, and 29% of deal redeemers are brand new customers.

LivingSocial is a great resource for local businesses and consumers alike. It allows businesses to get their names out there and encourages the sharing of discounts and deals via social media, says NetHosting CEO Lane Livingston. LivingSocials connection to Facebook through its mobile applications has made it a really viable online discount and deal provider.

In its LivingSocial case study, NetHosting looks at the companys history of growth and the way in which it incorporates social media networks, such as Facebook, to expand its reach and online visibility, as well as its international growth. As LivingSocial has expanded, it has updated its website features to be more user friendly, and have purchased other online deal providers to expand its market and reach. Allowing users to categorize deals according to interests helps potential customers to find what they want, and the Facebook share facility allows customers to spread the word about deals they have purchased or think friends would like.

In addition to its LivingSocial case study, NetHosting has also looked into other online deal providers such as Groupon and discount e-retailer Ideeli.

NetHosting Releases Case Study on Book Recommendation Site Goodreads

Orem, UT (PRWEB) April 22, 2013

NetHosting, a leading dedicated hosting, cloud hosting, and virtual hosting provider, recently published a case study on the popular website for readers and book recommendations, Goodreads.

Software engineer Otis Chandler and writer Elizabeth Chandler, his wife, began building Goodreads in their living room. They launched in early 2007, and grew to over 650,000 members by the end of the year. The site currently boasts over 16 million members, and owns the distinction as the worlds largest site of its kind.

Goodreads main purpose is to help readers find books they want to read. They do this in a variety of ways, including a social element where you can view what your friends are reading and recommending. In 2011, Goodreads acquired Discovereads, a book recommendation engine that quickly became a core feature of the site. After a user rates 20 books on their 5-star scale, the engine then recommends books based on the books already read, books listed as to read, or by genre.

Goodreads has fast become one of the more popular social sharing sites on the web. We were interested in making them the subject of a case study because theyve built a business that succeeds on every level, comments NetHosting CEO Lane Livingston. Not only is their site every bookworms dream, but their ability to create a very social atmosphere is an enviable model for every online business.

In addition to analyzing book recommendation sites, NetHosting has also performed case studies on electronics e-retailer Newegg, luxury fashion site ideeli, and Internet e-retailer giant Woot.

NetHosting Unveils Online Success Series, Free Educational Program for Website Owners

Orem, UT (PRWEB) November 26, 2012

Cloud hosting, dedicated hosting, and virtual hosting provider, NetHosting, has recently released a series of free guides and simple tools called the Online Success Series. This series is targeted at owners of ecommerce websites and small businesses with the purpose of helping to create or improve cost-efficient marketing campaigns.

These guides focus on what NetHosting CEO Lane Livingston calls the four keys of online success, namely search engine optimization, website hosting, social media, and design. Each guide provides a snapshot of one of the four topics, complete with educational information, a detailed breakdown of available tools and options, and suggestions for immediate implementation.

Without these four pieces, even the best funded marketing strategy is incomplete, stated Mr. Livingston. We hope that the Online Success Series enables the small, one-man operations out there to immediately launch or improve their online marketing campaigns in a clear and simple way, without breaking the bank.

Mr. Livingston summarized the series as a five-email campaign that not only delivers the previously mentioned guides, but walks website owners through the process of website and audience analysis, making the tough decisions, and cost-effective implementation.

Subscription to the Online Success Series is available at no cost. Follow this link for additional information.

New NetHosting Case Study Focuses on Newegg

Orem, UT (PRWEB) October 16, 2012

Cloud, dedicated, and app hosting leader, NetHosting, has just released a new case study, this time examining the online electronics seller, Newegg.

Newegg was originally founded in 2001 by Fred Chang and Ken Lam, who were trying to emerge as a new face after the dot com bubble burst. Three years later, the website broke $ 1 billion USD in sales. NetHosting reports that the company expanded its range in 2008 to start selling not only in the U.S. and not just electronics, but to other countries and other products.

Newegg has been lauded by its customers for providing exceptional customer service. The NetHosting case study, found here, highlights an incident in 2010 when one of the companys suppliers sent them 300 counterfeit Intel i7 processors, unbeknownst to Newegg. The online seller distributed them, and when customers began discovering the faulty hardware, Newegg replaced every single CPU at no cost to customers.

About Newegg, NetHosting CEO Lane Livingston said, Were big fans of Newegg here at NetHosting. Their website is a great example of how to build an infrastructure that supports a busy e-commerce site. More than that, however, we appreciate their example of customer service and wanted to highlight that, in addition to their website architecture with this case study.

In addition to e-commerce, NetHosting has also examined the gaming industry in its Battle.net case study, and the music industry in its Spotify case study.

NetHosting Ranked in the Top Ten Most Popular Blog Hosting Services Worldwide

Orem, UT (PRWEB) September 25, 2012

NetHosting has long been known for its Cloud Virtual Hosting service, but received even more recognition this week when it was ranked among the top ten most popular blog hosting services in the world.

Over the course of a month, Blogging.org surveyed over 5,600 users and compiled their responses to comprise a list of the top twenty-five hosting companies in the world. NetHosting was ranked as the seventh most popular hosting service for bloggers around the world.

When he heard of the honor, NetHosting CEO Lane Livingston responded by saying, There are different industry awards that come and go every year, but being recognized by our users as one of the top ten in the world is the best distinction we could possibly get. We want to give a huge thank you to our users, and I want to thank our staff at NetHosting that makes it all possible.

NetHosting offers its virtual hosting solution on top of the CloudLinux operating system, to better regulate and prevent server tenants from monopolizing system resources. CloudLinux works seamlessly with the cPanel administration tool and Installatron, two frequently used resources available with NetHostings Cloud Virtual Hosting solution. Installatron allows for 1-click installation of apps, including all the content management systems that bloggers use, such as Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, and more.

Finally NetHosting manages the network, hardware, and security updates for all its virtual hosting solutions, to give users more time to focus on creating and maintaining content instead of infrastructure.

NetHosting receives SOC 1 Type II Certification

Orem, UT (PRWEB) September 12, 2012

NetHosting, a leading global provider of cloud, dedicated, VPS, and Cloud Virtual Hosting solutions has taken the next step in data center security certification with its newly awarded SOC 1 Type II report.

Being SOC1 certified demonstrates that a business is sophisticated and dedicated to its customers, stated Lane Livingston, NetHosting CEO. And I feel we’re going the extra mile with the Type II qualification.

SOC 1, or Service Organization Controls 1, reports are a part of the new Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements number 16, or SSAE 16, which has succeeded the older SAS70 reporting method. The controls describe how service organizations must handle security for financial transactions and information under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Type I certification only requires the service organization to be compliant at the time of the attestation, while Type II certification requires the service organization to comply with the standards throughout an entire year. Naturally, Type II certification is more difficult to obtain and is more valuable proof of commitment to excellence. It was granted to NetHosting in August by The Cadence Group and is available upon request.

SOC 1 certification is entirely for our customers’ benefit, said Mr. Livingston. Whether they need the certification or not, everyone benefits from the safety and security in these standards. It adds tremendous value to our hosting services.

NetHosting was awarded PCI compliance in April of 2009 as well, and established itself as the first PCI compliant data center in Utah. It is one of the first in the world to be added to the credit card industrys list of approved service providers.

NetHosting Releases Newest Case Study Examining Music Streaming Site, Spotify

Orem, UT (PRWEB) August 20, 2012

NetHosting, a leading provider of cloud hosting, dedicated hosting, and virtual hosting, has chosen the famous music streaming service, Spotify, as the topic of its most recent case study.

In the newly released case study, NetHosting reports that Spotify was founded in 2006 in Stockholm, Sweden. It slowly became the favorite streaming website for many European countries, starting with England. After heavy negotiations, various evolutions of its service, and securing sufficient funds, Spotify became available to Americans in 2011. Since then Spotify boasts of owning over 10 million tracks from headlining artists and top-of-the-charts songs.

NetHosting goes into more detail in the original case study about the streaming websites beginnings as well as its clever use of hybrid server architecture to support its database, services, and users. Two infographics are also included in the case study; the first pinpoints key events in Spotifys history and the second provides the projected system requirements of operating the booming music service.

In a statement, CEO of NetHosting Lane Livingston explains, Its not uncommon to log onto Facebook and see what other friends or acquaintances have listened to that day on Spotify. Spotify shows the trending move of the music industry towards streaming and we thought it was time we took a closer look.

NetHosting has reported on other new and explosive web services such as Etsy, Pinterest, and Evernote.
