simplifyMD EHR Customers Achieve Critical Meaningful Use Stage 1 Milestone

Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) February 04, 2013

Medical practices eager to receive up to $ 44,000 in incentive payments from the federal government are looking to their electronic health records (EHR) vendors for guidance to complete the attestation process. While many vendors cannot offer the support required, leaving doctors and medical staff to tackle the complex process, simplifyMD has proactively engaged with customers who want to attest to ensure both success and prompt delivery of incentive funds.

simplifyMD has established a Customer Attestation Care Program, focusing the companys EHR consultants on educating physicians on how to satisfy reporting requirements.

The result: 100% of simplifyMD customers who chose to file for attestation have completed the process, with many already in receipt of their incentive payments.

We began our attestation process in July and by mid-December, all 69 eligible physicians in our practice had met the requirements to attest for Meaningful Use Stage 1, says Steven J. Morris, MD, FACP, a managing partner at Atlanta Gastroenterology Associate. We received our incentive payment on December 31!

simplifyMD provided the reporting and tools necessary to attest for the required measures, Dr. Morris continues. We doubt we would have achieved such rapid and complete success with any other partner for so complex an undertaking.

The simplifyMD EHR mirrors a practices existing charts and forms, while preserving their workflow. This speeds deployment and facilitates adoption by creating a simple experience with a strong ROI without disrupting practice operations.

Unlike our streamlined implementation process, attesting for meaningful use is fairly complex, explains Michael Brozino, CEO of simplifyMD. We are committed to our customers success, and knew this was a critical milestone for them. By making this support a priority for our team, the physicians and practices we serve were able to simply and quickly achieve remarkable results.

Knoxville Neurologys Jim Campbell, practice manager, praises simplifyMDs commitment to customers. The one-on-one service simplifyMD provided to Knoxville Neurology allowed us to meet our Meaningful Use attestation goal. Its the best computer vendor support Ive experienced in my 40 years in healthcare!

Meaningful Use incentive payments for December 2012 set new records, with eligible providers collecting more than $ 1.2 billion, according to Healthcare IT News. The publication reports that as of December 2012, a total of $ 10.3 billion in Meaningful Use incentive payments have been distributed since the program’s inception.
