Panda Security Achieves the Highest Detection Ratios in the Industrys Leading Tests

Madrid (PRWEB) July 28, 2014

Panda Cloud Antivirus Free, the free cloud antivirus from Panda Security, offers the highest levels of protection according to the two leading industry product tests, those of AV-Comparatives and AV-TEST.

AV-Comparatives confirms a 99.9% detection ratio

During the more than 150,000 real world proactive detection tests carried out from March to June this year by the AV-Comparatives independent laboratory, Panda Securitys free anti-malware solution managed to detect and block 99.9% of threats.

This comparative test of over 20 antivirus solutions highlights the great protection capacity of Panda Securitys solution, beating out other free products such as Avast, AVG or Microsofts antivirus; or pay solutions including Kaspersky, McAfee and Sophos.

100% detection ratio, according to AV-TEST

Similarly, in the Real-World Protection test carried out by AV-TEST in May and June, Panda Cloud Antivirus also racked up the maximum score, with a 100% detection ratio for the second consecutive month. Out of 23 products tested by the laboratory, only three achieved the maximum detection rate, and one of these was Panda Cloud Antivirus, from Panda Security.

In addition to these excellent detection results, its important to note that Panda Security has scored maximum points in the AV-TEST Monthly Consumer Product Testing performance test in June.

New XMT Smart Engineering engine

The results from both these labs are based on tests carried out on products based on the new XMT (Extreme Malware Terminator) Smart Engineering engine from Panda Security. With XMT, different technologies interact with each other to achieve new levels of efficiency and greater detection and disinfection power to eradicate all threats. The new XMT engine will be included in the new 2015 consumer product line that Panda Security will be presenting in August.

The best thing is that the platform and engine with which were achieving these results are the basis of all our endpoint protection products. Our aim is to continue integrating technologies in the platform to stay in pole position when it comes to detection and provide our users with maximum protection and minimum impact on their systems, says Luis Corrons, Technical Director of PandaLabs at Panda Security.

Panda Cloud Antivirus 3.0

Panda Security presented Panda Cloud Antivirus version 3.0 last May, after a trial phase during which the product was downloaded more than 30,000 times across 130 countries. The new solution includes, in both the Free and Pro editions a new more modern and intuitive look and feel. The solution also delivers improved protection technologies against new threats and attacks that exploit software vulnerabilities and automatically vaccinates USB drives, a feature which is now available to all users of the product, and not just the Pro version, as in the past.

It also includes the highly useful Rescue Kit for dealing with emergencies caused by malware, as well as a more complete process monitor.

Xangati Unveils StormTracker The Industrys First Solution to Tackle Performance Storms Devastating Productivity in the Cloud

Cupertino, CA (PRWEB) August 22, 2012

Xangati, the recognized leader in performance management for virtualization and cloud environments, today unveiled StormTracker, the industrys first solution to immediately identify cross-silo storm patternsthrough live storm detection as they emerge in a cloud infrastructure. According to a recent ZK Research report, over 90 percent of virtualization admins believe existing management tools dont provide the integrated insight of how server+hypervisor, network and storage interact, which inhibits ITs ability to effectively manage cloud performance. (See related release here.) For the first time, Xangatis StormTracker gives organizations the ability to instantly identify storms, proactively track their impact and know how to remediate them by processing second-by-second insights spanning all interactions occurring throughout the cloud infrastructure.

StormTracker includes a new, robust, in-memory storm detection sub-engine integrated into Xangatis flagship Performance Management Engine which leverages a next generation computing architecture; and an interactive and contextual UI with multiple views into the entire cloud environment. In addition, Xangati has integrated performance management with capacity management to deliver essential insights to admins to ensure they right-size the expansion of their cloud hardware infrastructure.

All of the new StormTracker functionality will be integrated into the companys award-winning Xangati Management Dashboard (XMD) suite as well as its Xangati for vSphereFree single host tool. StormTracker will also be available as a free upgrade for existing Xangati customers. Xangati will showcase StormTracker at VMworld San Francisco August 26-30, Booth #2413.

Assuring cloud performance is top of mind for every IT executive seeking to transform their data center. Unfortunately for these executives their clouds are being devastated by transient performance storms flying in under the radar of their pre-existing monitoring solutions, said Alan Robin, CEO of Xangati. Only Xangati is rising to the challenge of managing the always in flux cloud infrastructure with StormTracker empowering administrators to instantly identify emerging storms. And even more importantly provides exclusive insight on how to avoid these storms in the future.

Traditional alert monitoring solutions were designed to focus on shifts in individual metrics in a pre-cloud data center environment, said Zeus Kerravala, founder and principal analyst with ZK Research. My research shows that admins are uncomfortable with this model, given how the data center has evolvedinvestigating alerts is akin to chasing ones tail. By tracking storm fronts and their source, Xangati empowers IT to always understand how their cloud is behaving and to instantly identify emerging stormssaving valuable time and resources, while allowing them to anticipate and avoid future storms.

StormTracker Captures What Competing Solutions Miss Transient Storage, CPU, Memory and Network Storms

Inherently sluggish database-driven alert monitoring solutions fail to identify storms for two primary reasons. The first is that their after-the-fact architectures miss short-term shifts that are a mainstay of transient storms. The second is that chasing stand-alone metric alerts is only presenting an isolated symptom and doesnt get one to cause. That is why alert monitoring fosters post-mortem analysis which puts IT in an unproductive reactive posturewhere uncovering the source of storms is regularly taking anywhere from two hours up to days.

In contrast, Xangati StormTracker highlights storms instantaneously as they emerge, with key features including:

Innovation Driving The Fastener Industrys Move to Cloud Computing

Irvine, CA (PRWEB) August 15, 2013

Sererra Consulting Group announces immediate availability of the only complete cloud ERP solution on the market for the fastener industry.

As new companies are born into the cloud-computing era, legacy companies, specifically those in the fastener industry, are following suit and re-gaining or maintaining the competitive advantage. Since the Fastener Quality Act (FQA) of 1990, the fastener industry in the United States has seen consistent growth. With nearly 50,000 employees at over 4,500 facilities, annual revenue is now over $ 30 billion with some analysts predicting an increase to over $ 80 billion by 2018. And the next great wave of demand will favor companies that have technical expertise and efficiency of operations.

Cloud ERP integrates with other critical applications that create the ideal real-time solution for businesses. The main inhibitor to moving operations to the cloud for the fastener industry has been the lack of cloud solutions that specifically address the unique processes and requirements of the fastener industry, until recently. The fastest growing cloud ERP Software as a Service publisher, NetSuite, while meeting 90% of the demands of the fastener industry, didnt natively support several industry critical functions such as Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Material Testing Reports (MTR), and Certificates of Compliance (COC). But thanks to the innovative Value Added Resellers (VAR) of NetSuite software, Sererra Consulting Group (Irvine, CA HQ) has built those solutions onto NetSuites platform, thus finally bringing to market a cloud solution specifically built and molded for the fastener vertical.

Now, not only is it possible to have all the industry specific requirements met by Sererras suite of bolt on additions, fastener companies can effectively leverage eCommerce, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and marketing automation, all within the same solution, to give themselves a huge advantage over the competition.

Steve Baker, Sales Manager of FMW fasteners in Texas has scaled his business and is poised to support the recovering motor and construction industries. Making a move to Netsuite with Sererra was the one key differentiation that propelled FMW Fasteners to the next level. It took FMW Fasteners from being one of the distributors to being an innovative leader providing a state of the art buying experience for the modern day buyer.

Sererras Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Module

Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) was developed by Sererra for fastener companies to allow businesses to manage consignment-based inventory for customers. This software provides accurate management of the entire quote-to-cash process from within NetSuite, whether businesses have vendor managed BINS at the customer site or if they do consignment based sales.

Sererras Manage Material Testing Reports (MTR) and Certificates of Compliance (COC).

Manage Material Testing Reports (MTR) and Certificates of Compliance (COC) is another innovation by Sererra that is an essential module for distribution and supply companies that manage serialized and/or lot-based inventory. This module is made for companies managing certificates, quality assurance documents or any other format of testing and reports that need to be attached to each lot/serialized inventory. The genius of this product is that these documents always travel and stay connected to the respective lot or serialized inventory. When bolted on to a NetSuite instance, this module paves the way for companies that move to the cloud to use NetSuites file cabinet and robust lot/serialized inventory feature to associate the respective certificates and testing to the lot/serial number level, making tracking, supplying and storing of these reports an easy part of the daily workflow in the quote-to-cash and purchase-to-bill workflows. The MRT module that brings real value and a competitive advantage is the ability to leverage the built-in NetSuite eCommerce capability, allowing customers to have a self-service option to obtain and download the respective testing documents, thereby reducing cost per transaction and improving the customer experience.

About Sererra Consulting: Sererra is a leading Green IT technology and management consulting firm focused on delivering turnkey business solutions for midmarket firms worldwide. PCI Compliance Leaders Team Up to Deliver Industrys First End-to-End Solution

Plano, TX (PRWEB) February 13, 2013

PCI compliance for merchants is now simpler and less costly with the recent launch of an innovative cloud-based solution for securely accepting and transmitting payment card information during online purchase transactions. Layered Tech, a global provider of secure and compliant managed hosting and cloud services, and PayPlum, a creator of products and services to protect and secure sensitive consumer data, have joined forces to implement a genuinely end-to-end solution that enables merchants to securely and compliantly accept sensitive cardholder data while still delivering a high quality branded online experience.

Unlike conventional PCI compliance solutions, PayPlums patent pending payment acceptance software safeguards cardholder data from the very beginning of an online payment transaction: the serving of the card data input form. Rather than the merchant delivering blank payment forms from its own servers and bearing the risks of those forms being hacked, in the PayPlum solution the merchant serves only the non-sensitive, branded parts of the payment page while the card data input form itself is simultaneously served from PayPlums secure PCI-compliant private cloud.

In addition to managing all the security and compliance challenges of serving payment forms and accepting sensitive data, the PayPlum Enterprise PCI cloud also implements the secure transfer of transaction data to the merchants chosen payment gateway. In this solution sensitive cardholder data never touches the merchants servers, payments forms, or network, thereby taking them completely out of the scope of PCI compliance and dramatically reducing the associated costs and risks.

Layered Tech hosts the PayPlum private cloud in its PCI-compliant data centers and provides comprehensive management of the cloud to ensure continuous 100% compliance with PCI DSS requirements. As a long-time leader in PCI-compliant hosting and cloud services, Layered Tech was the logical choice to host and manage PayPlums groundbreaking compliance solution.

Security and compliance are the two most important needs we have today, said PayPlum Co-Founder and CEO Greg McGraw. Layered Techs versatile private cloud offerings, managed compliance services, and commitment to securing data in the most comprehensive and cost-effective way for business clients made them the clear choice for hosting the PayPlum Enterprise PCI compliance cloud.

Were excited to be part of this innovative solution to the daunting security and compliance issues faced by todays merchants, said Nate Brancato, Layered Techs Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. With the PayPlum solution powered by Layered Tech, merchants can completely offload the PCI compliance burden for online payment acceptance, freeing them to focus on delivering great products and services.

InTown Suites, the leader in extended stay living, is one of the first merchants to benefit from the new PCI compliance solution from PayPlum and Layered Tech. Online payment is an important amenity for our guests, said InTown Suites CIO Stephen Bell. However, developing the systems required to ensure PCI compliance is not feasible internally. The solution provided by PayPlum and Layered Tech will help us implement online payment quickly and efficiently, and guarantee that our payment processing meets PCI requirements.

ScaleMatrix Leads the Way Unveiling the Industrys First Transparent Pricing Tool in Private Cloud Offerings

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) June 20, 2012

ScaleMatrix, a leader in Private Cloud hosting technology, today announced an easy to use pricing calculator available directly from the companys home page. This new tool provides clients with transparent access to dedicated Private Cloud infrastructure pricing. Headquartered in San Diego, the Colocation, Managed Services, and Cloud Hosting firm aims to demystify the process of building and pricing true Private Cloud infrastructure.

In recent years, pricing for Private Cloud solutions has rarely, if ever, been available publicly and confusion regarding the feature sets and the security of data hosted on said solutions has often been suspect. Cloud hosting vendors have long said that true Private Cloud pricing was simply too complex to post, while others promoted Private Cloud solutions, with the services being offered reflecting standard Shared Cloud services. In an effort to help make the transition to true Private Cloud infrastructure simpler for end users, ScaleMatrix has launched the first version of a new web tool designed to provide transparent, real time pricing for dedicated computer, storage, security, and memory resources. With a strong background in data center and computing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), ScaleMatrixs new pricing tool underpins the companys commitment to ensuring that Private Cloud offerings should not equate to secret pricing.

This is a game changer for IT decision makers navigating a myriad of cloud hosting providers, and we are thrilled to be the first to offer this true Private Cloud transparent pricing, said Marc Clark, Sr. Director of Cloud Sales & Business Development. Clients are used to having access to Public and Shared Cloud pricing, but when the added security and control of a Private Cloud solution is needed, what then? There has been little information available regarding cost structures and the underlying infrastructure configuration for those looking for true secure Private IaaS. ScaleMatrix is committed to providing clients with this transparent information in an effort to help them make informed decisions for their IT needs.

A common misconception is that Private Cloud costs more than Public or Shared Cloud offerings. A quick look at the ScaleMatrix transparent pricing tool will show that this is simply not the case. ScaleMatrix has leveraged its relationships with hardware and software vendors to be a value leader in the market. ScaleMatrixs true Private Cloud solutions provide clients with all of the security and control they experience within their own data centers, while providing a cost effective alternative to public and shared cloud solutions.

Considerable technical advantages exist for clients leveraging true Private Cloud infrastructure, when compared to Public and Shared Cloud offers. For starters, the CPU aspect of the ScaleMatrix Private cloud offer is based on physical CPU cores derived from Intel Xeon quad and hex core 2.4 GHz processors with Hyperthreading, not virtual, CPUs that typically run .75GHz to over 1.0GHz slower. Another considerable advantage to the ScaleMatrix Cloud offering is disk I/O. With each Private Cloud consisting of scalable and dedicated hardware, clients do not have to share resources with thousands of other users. ScaleMatrix also offers clients a variety of SATA, SAS or SSD storage options.

Through ScaleMatrixs transparent pricing tool, IT professionals can better evaluate the benefits and cost of utilizing true dedicated Private Cloud infrastructure, in comparison to commonly known Public or Shared Cloud solutions. Despite the differences in pricing, performance, and service metrics commonly offered by Public and Shared cloud solutions, the advantages of Private Cloud solutions are obvious. The ScaleMatrix transparent pricing tool reduces complexity by placing standard, easy to use metrics right at your fingertips.

Many Public Cloud offerings, such as AWS, Heroku, Engine Yard, Rackspace and Google provide access to transparent pricing based on a number of complex criteria which may not be easy to estimate: number of instances, types of instances, instances per hour, to name just a few. ScaleMatrix Transparent Pricing Tool simplifies this process even further by deriving pricing from three simple metrics: CPU, Memory and Storage.

ScaleMatrix is already a recognized leader in the deployment of Private Cloud solutions leveraging the CA AppLogic Cloud platform. In recent months, the company has begun offering VMware, OpenStack, and platform agnostic Hardware as a Service (HaaS) solutions as part of the ever-growing product portfolio.

With innovation being one of the companys core tenants, clients can look forward to additional pricing tool enhancements in the coming months. ScaleMatrix plans to provide clients with a granular, full-feature pricing tool. This will enable IT Managers to build a virtual private data center, with resources which are dedicated and private. To learn more about our pricing, please visit our website or call 888-349-9994 for more information.

About ScaleMatrix

ScaleMatrix takes an infrastructure-based approach to providing best-in-class hosting solutions to clients at every stage of their IT Lifecycle development. By investing heavily in both facilities and personnel, and developing strategic relationships with critical hardware, software, and support service vendors we are able to offer our clients industry leading solutions which include design, deployment, and ongoing management as part of our standard offering.
