InfoRelay Expands New York City Data Center Presence

New York, New York (PRWEB) September 09, 2013

On Friday, Northern Virginia-based InfoRelay Online Systems Inc., announced the expansion of its downtown Manhattan, New York data center presence. The company now has two New York data centers with multiple suites at which it offers server colocation, cloud hosting, network bandwidth, disaster recovery planning, and other managed services. The InfoRelay LGA3 facility, offers IT solutions fit for small and medium business through increased data center availability and better network access, according to an InfoRelay spokesperson. The LGA3 data center is part of the former Western Union Building at 60 Hudson Street in the Manhattan borough of New York City.

The LGA3 data center suites in 60 Hudson Street are interconnected with InfoRelays other New York data centers, LGA1 and LGA2 through dark fiber connections, providing clients with access to internet carriers and ISPs in other facilities. The 60 Hudson Street facility currently hosts more than 100 internet and telecom providers internally, making cross-connections between networks highly accessible. Clients can connect directly to the data centers from their offices, as well as access the other InfoRelay data centers in the region through dedicated 100Mbps, GigE, 10GE, and 40GE connections.

The expansion is part of InfoRelays effort to better accommodate small and medium businesses, through partial cabinet availability and more competitive bandwidth pricing. InfoRelay president Russell Weiss explains, Colocation provides many benefits to businesses. Sometimes, unfortunately its difficult for small businesses to take the leap into colocation due to cost and complexity. Weve sought to make these services more accessible by offering partial locking cabinets, including quarter cabinets and have cabinets available so that small businesses can realize the benefits of server colocation in a large data center, without having to commit to a large-scale deployment. By colocating at one of our New York Data Centers, clients can also access other top-tier data centers and networks in the region via dark fiber connectivity. The new colocation space is in an SSAE16 II certified data center, and utilizes high security measures such as 24/7/365 human monitoring, biometric scanners, and man trap entry-ways.

The LGA3 facility space is available to the public as of September 7, 2013. For more on this story, please contact InfoRelays communication department at 703 485 4600.

Orem, UT (PRWEB) September 10, 2013

On the evening of Saturday, September 7, 2013, 0.75 inches of rain fell in 15 minutes in Utah County. Communities in Utah County experienced flooding, mudslides, power outages, and evacuations. Some residents reported up to three feet of water in their homes.

NewCloud Networks Utilizes its Virtual Private Data Center Service as a Disaster Recovery System for Mid-Market Businesses

(PRWEB) March 31, 2014

NewCloud Networks, a Denver-based Cloud Computing and Communications provider, recently released its newest solution, the Virtual Private Data Center (vPDC) to mid-market businesses and has since, found multiple uses for the service, including utilizing the service as a disaster recovery solution.

Our business is growing in the mid-market and the Virtual Private Data Center has proven to be our most versatile solution. We realized shortly after releasing the solution that it could not only be used as an alternative to physical server infrastructure or as a hybrid cloud solution, but that we could leverage our recent data center expansion and use vPDC as a disaster recovery solution as well, said Sam Kumar, President of NewCloud Networks.

NewClouds primary data center is located in the Denver Tech Center in Colorado. The area is considered geographically secure, making it an ideal location for businesses to host their data. The company has attained both HIPAA compliance and SOC 2 Type 1 certification, allowing for the hosting of sensitive data including medical records. NewCloud has a secondary data center location in Phoenix, Arizona. We began expanding our data center footprint in order to provide true redundancy and disaster recovery to our customers. In order to provide true disaster recovery, it is essential that the data centers are located a minimum of 500 miles apart. At such a distance, it is highly unlikely that a single natural disaster will impact both sites, says Kumar.

The opening of NewClouds Phoenix data center and the launch of the Virtual Private Data Center made the solution ideal for disaster recovery. Businesses now have the option of hosting their services in Phoenix or Denver and have the added option of backing up their environment in a second location. In the coming months, NewCloud will implement more data center locations in geographically disparate locations across the country. Kumar states, Our goal is to make close-proximity Cloud Computing services available to every region of the country, and to provide disaster recovery services in an area of their choice as well.

The current data center locations are tied together with a 10 Gig MPLS backbone, separate from the public Internet, making the NewCloud service more secure than the average multitenant Cloud provider. Businesses seeking Cloud infrastructure services as well as disaster recovery services should contact NewCloud Networks directly at 855-255-5001.
