Truck Load Rate Checking Tool Added to ComFreight Load Board

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 19, 2014

Load Boards are changing and ComFreight is working on new capabilities for its mobile and desktop users of its freight matching marketplace and website. ComFreight has now released version 1.0 of its truck load freight rate checking tool (or rate index) to all of its current and future paying subscribers. The new technology pulls in average rates and bids from the system’s internal freight marketplace and provides its users with an accurate snapshot of what the current truck load market rate is for specific trucking lanes.

ComFreight is a load board and freight marketplace web app that provides a service that allows users like shippers, carriers and brokers to interact with one another in a freight matching community and logistics marketplace. ComFreight also uses cloud computing to provide users with a way to store and send documents from any device with a data connection. The progression of load board technology has sometimes been slower than in other areas of the trucking and logistics industry. ComFrieght is trying to change this with a progressive software development based approach. The rate index tool is an example of one of these recent advancements.

“Users can now use the truck load rate index tool to check any truck load rate in the United States or Canada from any smart phone, tablet, computer or other device with a data connection,” said Steve Kochan, Co-Founder and CEO of ComFreight. Kochan says there will be more updates to the rate index that has just launched in beta in the coming months. The rate index works by a user inputting a origin city and a delivery city for a specific lane and then displays the most accurate average truck load rate to the user on their screen.

“User feedback and input is what we value most of all and we continue to use this input to streamline, speed up and improve the platform for our end users,” Kochan also said. ComFreight also plans to release reporting on the freight industry’s pricing trends in by aggregating more specific and accurate bidding data from the site’s activity.

Kochan will be updating with more info on the evolving technology that ComFreight in developing in the coming months. In the meantime the logistics technology space continues to become more and more crowded and competitive. ComFreight is moving forward with mobile and feature based initiatives in order to meet the growing demand for more intuitive capabilities from its current and growing user base. Load Boards are changing rapidly and the future looks bright for logistics personnel and the trucking industry overall.

Cartika Adopts Ksplice Uptrack ‘Rebootless’ Technology as Value Added Service for All Cartika Linux Hosting Customers

Toronto, Canada and Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) September 22, 2010

Cartika Inc., a leading provider of Web hosting services, announced it has adopted Ksplice Uptrack’s “rebootless” and automated Linux update technology, bringing its customers a new class of best-of-breed dedicated and virtual server offerings.

Starting this month, Ksplice Uptrack will be included with every one of Cartika’s dedicated and virtual servers at no additional cost. “Adopting Ksplice was an easy decision,” said Andrew Rouchotas, CEO of Cartika. “We’re able to save on the high costs of updating, patching and keeping servers secure, while our customers are getting top-notch security without compromising uptime,” he said.

“Ksplice Uptrack revolutionizes server availability and security,” said Waseem Daher, Ksplice’s chief operating officer. “We’re thrilled to support Cartika’s dedication to its Linux hosting customers.” Ksplice’s technology allows IT administrators to keep Linux servers up-to-date and secure without the disruption and downtime of rebooting.

In 2009, major Linux vendors asked their customers to install a kernel update more than once per month. Before Uptrack, each occasion required an administrator to schedule downtime to apply the update. Until a system can be updated, it remains vulnerable to security flaws. By seamlessly and automatically installing kernel updates, Uptrack dramatically reduces the overhead of system administration, dramatically boosting uptime and security.

Bunkspeed Continues to Build on Cloud Initiative with Newly Added 3D Content Now Available to Bunkspeed Users and 3D Computer Graphics Rendering Community

Carsblad, CA (PRWEB) September 16, 2011

Bunkspeed has added 10 new materials, 5 high dynamic images and backplates, and a fully prepared 3D project of a 1969 Camaro, which Autoweek fans just voted as the Best Chevrolet Ever, free for download and unrestricted use. With the release of the Bunkspeed 2012 software product line, users simply register and log in to gain access to the online material and asset library. Today we have added to that library accessible to both the trial and purchased 2012 versions of all Bunkspeed 3D rendering and animation software, as part of regular updates.

This is just the first phase of our cloud based asset library, says Philip Lunn, Bunkspeed CEO. Weve reduced the size of the install download by putting the asset library on the cloud and now were growing the asset library for our customers. Materials, HDR images and even projects can be dragged and dropped directly from the cloud server into the current project. This copies the asset to the users local library. The online library is expected to grow rapidly and provide a constant source of new materials and assets both for our user community, and the rapidly growing 3D community as a whole. The images and 3D model assets can be used in other 3D software.

The cloud based asset library is part of our overall cloud initiative which began last January at the 2011 SolidWorks World Conference. In addition, we have remote cloud based rendering services available, and in the future, cloud based application usage.
