Information Innovators Inc. Wins a VA T4 Improve Veteran Mental Health (IVMH) Initiative Contract

Springfield, Virginia (PRWEB) June 28, 2012

Information Innovators Inc. (Triple-i) was recently awarded a prime contract for two Mental and Behavioral Health-focused projects under the Improve Veteran Mental Health (IVMH) Initiative: Mental Health Clinical Reminders (MHCR) and Behavioral Health Lab (BHL). The contract was awarded by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) on the Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology (T4) contract a $ 12 billion, five (5) year vehicle to provide program management expertise and support for life cycle management of enterprise-wide solutions in IT.

The projects involve COTs system integration and application enhancements for VistA, the Veterans Health Administrations (VHAs) enterprise-wide medical information system. The result of these projects will enable primary-behavioral health care provider integration and provide a more consistent range of effective treatment across the VA healthcare system. The MHCR and BHL projects support the VAs mission to enable a more patient-centric health care approach, promote self-regulation, and give Veterans and their families options for treatment and care.

To successfully complete these projects, Triple-i has teamed with K&R Consulting, an SDVOSB, whose key business area is Health IT. K&R Consulting has delivered turnkey VistA solutions across a broad spectrum of medical facilities ranging from large metropolitan hospitals to state and local rural hospitals and clinics.

Triple-i is also working with experienced partner, MindLinc, a company with subject matter expertise in the area of behavioral healthcare, who has been implementing EMR-EPM solutions for commercial healthcare providers since 2004. This includes work with mental health clinics, behavioral health care specialists, substance abuse centers, and hospitals Nationwide. Triple-i will leverage their experience and lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.

Supporting the VAs Health IT solutions initiatives is of paramount importance to Triple-i. Vice President of Health IT, Helayne Sweet, explains, “We appreciate the opportunity to serve the Department through support of the Mental Health Clinical Reminders and Behavioral Health Lab projects. VA provides mental health services at 153 medical centers and 900 outpatient clinics with special capabilities for treating PTSD patients.
