Awards for uptime software Keep Coming as it is Named a Best Systems Management Solution Finalist in the 2011 CODiE Awards

Toronto (PRWEB) April 14, 2011

uptime software, a leader in IT systems management software designed for enterprise and midmarket organizations, today announced its product, up.time, has been named a Best Systems Management Solution finalist by the 2011 Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). The SIIA is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, and this represents its 26th annual CODiE Awards. Underscoring its complete suite for performance and availability monitoring of the hybrid datacenter (a datacenter with a mix of physical, virtual, and cloud servers, applications or services), uptime software has seen strong momentum in the customer, partner and now the industry award front, earning three major product and company accolades in the past 30 days.

We are honored to be acknowledged by the prestigious SIIA judging committee as offering one of the best IT systems management solutions on the market, said Phil Didaskalou, CEO at uptime software. This award further validates what our customers say about up.time and the deep performance and availability management it provides, regardless of platforms, on- or off-premise resources or geographic challenges. Hybrid-datacenter monitoring represents an entirely new model of computing, and uptime software is excited to be leading the charge.

With only a small percentage of the 395 total nominations selected as finalists, the 2011 edition has proved to be the most hotly contested CODiE Awards competition to date. Every category underwent intense review by subject matter experts, analysts and journalists who selected finalists based on company achievement and product innovation. Winners will be announced Wednesday, May 25, at the CODiE Awards luncheon, to be held as part of the SIIA All About the Cloud conference.

We are pleased to have such a diverse range of companies and products as finalists this year, said Rhianna Collier, vice president of the SIIA Software Division. The competition is always tough, and it reflects the level of innovation across a wide range of companies in this industry. The growth in participation certainly mirrors what we are seeing as priorities in the business software market especially the need for effective integration of applications and demand for powerful security solutions.

The Software Publishers Association (SPA), now SIIA, established the CODiE Awards, originally called the Excellence in Software Awards, in 1986 so that pioneers of the then nascent software industry could evaluate and honor each other’s work. Since then, the CODiE Awards program has carried out the same purpose, to showcase the software and information industry’s finest products and services and to honor excellence in corporate achievement.

up.time is deep, complete, easy-to-use and affordable IT systems management software designed for mid-enterprises that simplifies the performance and availability management of physical, virtual, and cloud servers and applications from a single dashboard. up.time provides visibility and manageability across an organizations entire IT infrastructure and application stack with real-time, role-based dashboards. up.time includes deep-dive virtual and physical server monitoring software across Windows server monitoring, VMware monitoring (ESX hosts & guests, including vSphere and ESX 4), IBM AIX monitoring (LPARs & Entitlements), Solaris monitoring (Containers), and more as well as application, service and SLA monitoring and reporting.
